Allegra is an alt-indie-jam rock artist based in West Dover, VT.
Take the piano-driven alt-rock of Fiona Apple and Tori Amos, turn up the distortion and add a splash of psychedelia, and you’ll get Allegra. Her evocative lyricism enhanced by unique musical compositions underneath, with piano playing “like sunlight shimmering off of a lake.” Allegra wields powerful vocal dynamics, her voice soft and ethereal one moment, to raw and ripping the next.
The child of Deadheads, Allegra grew up on the Grateful Dead and Phish the way other kids grow up on milk and bread. But being a 90s baby/00s kid, the pull of heavier alt-rock and grunge was too strong to resist. She saw her first Dead show at age 8, followed by Avril Lavigne about a year later. These seemingly opposing musical forces, along with countless other artists, have been imperative in shaping Allegra’s current musical style.
Allegra released her first EP, "To Stop the Void from Growing", in June 2024. Prior to that, she released three singles: "Ex Queen of Hearts" (2022), "Eternal Blues"(2023) and "Apathy" (2023). Her fourth single, "2017", came out at the end of 2025. She is currently recording new music to be released in the summer of 2026.
When it comes to covers, Allegra's selection is like putting your favorite songs on shuffle; an eclectic array of seemingly differing genres, but you’re bound to love everyone. Some artists covered are Amy Winehouse, The Grateful Dead, Pink Floyd, Lizzie McAlpine, Led Zeppelin, and Alice In Chains.
Allegra is a regionally touring artist, having played all over New England and into the Tri-State area. Notable venues include Mount Snow, Plumfest, Valley Craft Ales, Jay Peak, Dover Bar & Grill, Union Underground, Midway Cafe, Unihog, and the Strand Theatre.
When she is not playing solo, Allegra fronts a four-piece band called “Allegra & the Daydreamers.” Formally established in 2023, the Daydreamers play Allegra's original work, along with tunes from other band members and some covers.
Introspective piano ballads, searing guitar solos, spacey jams, and plenty of danceable bangers, nothing is off-limits for the Daydreamers.
“A new wave is rolling in—and it’s glowing.
Local to the core and lit from within, this band delivers a sonic experience that fuses groove-heavy rhythms, psychedelic-tinged rock, and a spark on improvisation that makes every show feel alive.
Think late-night summer energy, swirling melodies, and the kind of set that builds and blooms with every song. Whether you’re swaying under the trees or up front with a pint in hand, Liquid Light promises a vibe you won’t want to miss.” -Valley Craft Ales
