Allegra is a singer, songwriter, and pianist living in Vermont.
Originally from Massachusetts, Allegra grew up in a hippie family immersed in the exploratory music of the Grateful Dead and Phish, while also reveling in the alternative rock music of the late 90s/early 2000s. She pulls these influences creating a unique blend of alt-indie-jam rock, combining her favorite aspects of different genres into her own style.
Her powerful voice is at one moment soft and pure and the next filled rawness and grit, all enhanced by her poignant, from-the-gut lyrics. Soft piano ballads, torch songs, searing-scorching-angsty songs, and flowing, improvisational jams all woven together into her own musical tapestry. Allegra fuses an eclectic swirl of influences together from the Grateful Dead to Joni Mitchell, from Pink Floyd to Avril Lavigne.
Allegra released her first EP, "To Stop the Void from Growing", in June 2024. Prior to that, she released three singles: "Ex Queen of Hearts" (2022), "Eternal Blues"(2023) and "Apathy" (2023).
Allegra plays frequently in southern Vermont and has played all around New England. Notable venues include the Cuzzin’s Stage at Mount Snow, the Snowbarn, the Dover Bar & Grill, the Midway Cafe, and the Strand Theatre on Martha’s Vineyard.
When she is not playing solo, Allegra fronts a four-piece band called “Allegra & the Daydreamers.” Formally established in 2023, the Daydreamers play Allegra's original work, along with tunes from other band members and some covers.
Introspective piano ballads, searing guitar solos, spacey jams, and plenty of danceable bangers, nothing is off-limits for the Daydreamers. "Stuck in your head? Try dancing it out!"
